Who we are

Equine Cremations Canterbury was established in 2025 by Matt Lawrey and Sophie Neilson after identifying a need for the service in the South Island.

Matt and Sophie have a combined 45 years of experience in the equine, veterinary and agricultural sectors and have a passion for helping and supporting people when they need it most.

They recognise that everyone has different needs and priorities when it comes to their beloved equine and they are committed to providing a caring, dignified and tailored service.
